Program Highlights
The Stepping Stones Program at Harrigan Development Services is designed to enhance independent living skills and is tailored to each participant’s unique goals. This short-term program provides a supportive environment where participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that combines direct instruction, dynamic group discussions, and hands-on practice.
Skills Taught:
1st Semester:
Personal Management, Physical Wellness, Nutritional Wellness, Intro Self Determination, Intro Kitchen Safety/Prep, Cooking Skills, & Home Management.
2nd Semester:
Citizenship, Social Skills, Community Engagement, Emotional Wellness, Self Determination Skills, Vocational Skills, Money Management, Kitchen Safety/Prep & Cooking Skills

Admission Requirements
Age
Approximately 18 to 25 years old at the time of application.
Education
Must have graduated from a high school program.
Documented Disability
Provide documentation of an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Independence Goal
Must have a goal of living independently or increasing independent living skills to a specified level.
Motivation
Candidates should demonstrate a strong motivation and interest in acquiring independent living skills, coupled with a commitment to actively participate in and complete the program.
