Brian worked with my son Jake who was a student with Autism in his final year of high school. During this time Jake was deeply isolated in video games and television. As a result, he suffered from depression and a lack of self-confidence.

Jake became involved with Brian who helped him create a supportive service plan that engaged him in social activities. He began to identify his interests and began making social alliances in the community.

After connecting with new social outlets such as the library and rock climbing with Brian as his clinical coach and counselor, Jake became excited to include new social supports in his life. He has been more self-confident, less depressed and has started to develop new, healthy relationships with peers.

Now Jake is 22, working in the community and is making a productive contribution to society.

Harrigan Development Services helped me find a great employee who is still with the company 7 months later. It was comforting knowing that I had a pre-screened candidate when making a hiring decision. Andy provided one-on-one support for several months to both me and my employee to make sure we were satisfied. His program also allowed me to decrease the risk businesses face with hiring new employees by the use of a subsidized internship. The internship HDS set up allowed this young man to prove himself at no cost to me. He is now able to use his experience to pursue an apprenticeship program to further his experience and credentials in the field.
